I’m Edwin Rivera Jr., a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve meaningful, lasting growth. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University, providing me with a strong foundation in evidence-based care.
In addition to leading Clear Connection Counseling, I serve as a department manager at an outpatient clinic, overseeing operations and ensuring every client receives high-quality, compassionate mental health services. My background also includes extensive experience as a Day Program Therapist, specializing in supporting adolescents and teens in a partial hospitalization setting. These diverse roles have refined my expertise in clinical case management, program leadership, and therapeutic intervention.
My clinical approach integrates strategies from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), including mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I collaborate closely with my clients to identify personal goals, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and replace ineffective behaviors with healthier, more sustainable alternatives.
